La La Land speaks of romance and joy, at least at points. This piece was designed to encapsulate the romance of the film and the chemistry between the two leads. 

I used the lighter blue to create a softer tone for the facial features. Highlighting Mia’s hair helped bring more vitality to the piece as a whole.
