Vanishing Point

Perspective works by representing the light that passes from a scene through an imaginary rectangle (made as the plane of the painting), to the eye of the viewer, as if a viewer was looking through a window and painting what is seen directly on the window pane.

If you look along a straight road or railroad track, the edges of the road or tracks seem to meet in the distance.

We have spent hours playing with perspectives, angles, lines and contrasts using black and white and waiting for the perfect moment to capture each of the images shown in this series.
