Hand-lettering, rendered into vector linework in Adobe Illustrator. Really my first venture into this area, I tried to focus on clean linework derived from geometric shapes, and using varying vertical placement and tight kerning to evoke the word itself.

I read this quote in one of my art history books just this morning, after having spent a few hours running through the photographs I'd taken on my trip to Europe. The combination was just too good to let go.
