Repair Shops Ad Campaign
Zero Waste, an environmental organization from Washington, wanted to run an ad campaign with the goal of encouraging people to use repair shops to fix broken electronics, clothes etc.
I created a series of partly colored sketches to go along with their slogans. It was a requirement for the main character to be gender- and race-neutral. Repaired gadgets and pieces of clothing had to be as "generic" as possible.
The process
Zero Waste team brainstormed 8 different slogans for the campaign, and together we came up with a graphic concept for each slogan. I drew 8 detailed sketches, which were presented to a user group for testing.
Later we picked the 3 sketches that users resonated with most, and I turned them into final drawings. They were used in an ad campaign on Instagram and Google Ads.
