When I say "make-up" here I'm talking about the mask we wear on our daily lives. I want to remind myself (and whoever is seeing my drawings) that, sometimes, it's not our family or friends who know us better. Sometimes the stranger whom we told the truth is the only person in the world who knows who we really are...apart from ourselves, of course.
I'm not being a moralist, I'm sure it's difficult to lead an adult life without telling lies from time to time. The only thing I want to remind myself (and whoever is seeing my drawings) is that we must always keep the "real version" clear.
