The main tasks are the following:
-Re-Plan for Transport and traffic system for Historic Cairo, which is estimate 35 km2, contained 11 department, and 111 zone with total length of network 1035 km.
-Upgrading existing infrastructure situation in vehicle movement and pedestrians walk.
-Measure all existing conditions in study area (e.g., Road network, Road classification, Railway stations, Public transport, and parking, etc.).
-Traffic volumes in the main road from and to historic Cairo (AM – PM).
- Develop a new Zoning system for a Historic Cairo.
- Transport Modeling for a city & predicted LOS in the main corridors by VISUM.
-Study the public transport and suggest alternative to upgrade the system by GIS.
-Study the main traffic problem in the city (e.g., pedestrians walk, traffic problem and parking, logistics area problems, infrastructure of road and public transport) SOWT analysis for transport and traffic scheme in city etc.).
- Writing Technical Report for city and all GIS and CAD drawing.
