I did a portrait of Tom deLonge, former singer of Blink 182, as a personal study in his UFO obsession. This illustration is based off a story the singer told where he met with an unnamed government official in the back of an empty airport restaurant to talk off record on UFOs. The government official started the meeting with “It was the Cold War”. Really enjoyed doing this piece and experimenting with new techniques. Done in oil and gouache
