Final Zine
The final zine consists of 3 colours; black, white and beige. These colours are used to keep the design aesthetic neat and minimalistic. I kept to a simple layout that focused on the empty spaces of the pages and used colour to create both contrast and harmonisation between the colours. I made sure to variate the layout of each spread to keep the design interesting and engaging for the reader.
As the topic was focused on the typeface 'Cochin', I used different fonts of this typeface to make this zine. Different weights, sizes, forms and directions of the typeface was used throughout the zine to keep it consistent with the topic and to keep it as engaging as possible for the reader.
Overall, this task was very fun and interesting to create an entire zine by myself, with the design and aesthetic I wanted, and to see it come to life with the full layout allowed me to feel a sense of achievement. If I were to make an improvement to this zine design, I would play around more with the layout variations or utilise a more bright colour, other than beige as an eye-catching form of emphasis.
