This object was a result from the workshop titled “Fluidity In Motion” which was tutored by Mariana Cabugueira (ZHA / AADRL) & Chantal Mantar ( Bartlett UCL).The objective of this 2 day workshop is to understand the nuances of using mathematically generated surfaces which are inspired from nature could be transformed into architectural spaces.
The entire spatial quality of the shell or in this case the Nautilus shell exhibits rich spatial values. Here the entire shell object is transformed into an theatre where the entire profile and its articulations of the flow lines creates a sense of harmony from the landscape and to the built environment. The entire space is nicknamed as the “Snaile” due to its resemblance of the snails thick outer shell.
