Tower Bridge and Dolphin
For those who know London, you may be able to tell this image was taken a few years ago, the lack of modern buildings behind the bridge gives it away, no GLA Building or The Shard. In fact I took this image in the early 1980's using an Olympus OM2n and Kodacrome 25 asa film, long before digital came along.
Millenium Bridge
The Millenium Bridge, takes you from The Tate Modern Art Gallery on the South Bank, over the River Thames towards St. Pauls Cathedral in The City. This was a crappy cold dark, typical London day, not very good for photography. Took this boring image in RAW and forgot about it. Came back to it about two years later and turned it into this, using Lightroom and Ellements.
Stairway to Heaven.
Took this 1 RAW image of stairs leading up towards St. Pauls Cathedral next to the underside of the Millenium Bridge, and turned it into a HDR image. Made 5 Tif files in Lightroom ranging from +2 to -2 including the normal one, then imported into Photomatix Pro to produce the HDR image. Great way to do HDR if you have one RAW file only of the shot.
Central Line, Liverpool Street Underground.
Whilst waiting for the tube home, quickly pulled my small compact Leica from my pocket, set the speed to 1/20th second and hand held this shot to get the moving train in blur. Not bad for a quick reaction one shot lol. Using the ColorSplash App removeed all the colour apart from the train.
