 Client Research

1902 Alfred Erickson forms his own advertisement agency, then later in 1912 Harrison McCann with four other partners form H. K. McCann. McCann help brands play a meaningful role in people’s life’s, meaningful as in relevant and having a clear role. This valued and loved, meaning they’ll be used more and bought more.

McCann have done marketing work in retail, food and drink, travel and leisure, fashion and apparel, and health and wellbeing.
They have 370 people in their Country house Campus but as well as 23,000 people based in 100 countries around the world, they are able to get cultural inspiration and referencing from around the world due to this.
They have worked with L’Oréal, Coca Cola, Mastercard, Ikea and Microsoft.

McCann Worldgroup harnesses its meaning by using the truth. H K McCann came up with the idea of telling the truth and telling it well. This influences the McCann workers of today with their slogan and attitude toward work, "Truth Well Told."
Audience Research

McCann’s target audience are people “new generation of fresh thinkers.” The demographic is motivated and creative local 15–20-year-olds. Local to the McCann Manchester team. The brief also wants to focus on the north and using Northern charm.

The target audience are people who have an interest in marketing and advertisement. The plan is to target youth with brain full of ideas but haven’t been able to hit their potential and not being able to bring their idea to life. We want them to be enthused about the industry.
