The objective was to design a World Tour for a musical artist that was given to us randomly.
Work in the concept of the tour studying all the past and present facts that surround the artist and the market situation.
Once we decided the concept we had to develop the graphic design (posters, videos, tickets...) styling, marketing, stage design, communication of the tour...
We made an exhaustive investigation about all the referents of the artist, and her own influences, friends, beliefs... We were lucky cause we knew M.I.A before this project and a lot of her reference artists.

From all the info we gathered up, we made a concept wall with everything, and we discussed and analyzed it all until we came up with the concept.
We travelled from Sri Lanka to London's neighborhoods where she grew up, and we went from her years in St. Martins School to her first steps in video art and electronic music.
Her lyrics talk about the war, injustices that she lived herself, Tamil guerrilla, abusive governments, poverty, money and drugs. All this from her own perspective, always singing about matters she was touched directly. 

Diplo, Major Lazer, Rye Rye, Santogold, Blackstarr, Amanda Blank ... among others,collaborate on their albums.
Her aesthetic references have influences of the New Rave, Tropical, Neo-Ethnic, graffiti, guerrilla art, street art, pixel art. She makes very random pieces, mixing colors and low quality fluorescent images and patterns that evoke her indian roots.

As M.I.A would say herself:
 “I’m sick of throwing music parties without having anyone taking action on the issues the song they are dancing to and DJing are all about.
Now that i am older, have become a mother and have reached the hight of my career,it’s time tighten my belt, call the alarm, and make sure my listeners get the ral raw message and start thinking in a new way to change the ideological foundations of our fucked up world.

My lyrics have content, my videos are rougher, tougher and straight to the point. My new tour isn´t  about being little miss nice girl with the latest beats. 

It’s a call to arms, a more serious, unapologetic  approach with no reservations towards the fucked up state of the world.” 
Recruitment Tour
We intend to involve more people with her messages, recruiting people's voices so that together, they sound higher and stronger.
Her message is more serious, more powerful, her image becomes more serious and aggressive.

All the style for the tour is based on the fight, military, guerrilla, showing M.I.A at the top of the pyramid of command, as the dominating figure. She recruits her army and her weapons are words and critical knowledge.
The ticket to get into the concert is a little bit different from the usual paper ticket.
M.I.A will be recruiting at her world tour 2011, so what the fan receives when he buys the ticket to the concert is a bandage with a number. This number only belongs to him, and that number counts how many people is joining M.I.A cause.
