Project completed January 2011
This magazine design comes from a project given to me two years ago (It has been updated since). Specifications included the creation of an opening spread and following spread of a particular subject. I also, had to following an actual/realistic size limitation.
I decided to create a spread that discussed an automotive topic (a topic I enjoy thoroughly). So, I narrowed my choice down to the Camaro SS, one of my favorite vehicles. I wanted to incorporate a very sharp, sleek communication of the content in this magazine design. Through use of typographical elements, I was able to give these spreads a modern feel.
What I think is most effective in my design has to be the clear communication of the presented article. A clear visual image pulls in the viewer, while the typographical elements complement and assist the viewer through hierarchy.
