NewOrder: crisis app

HELPERS NEED HELP

Nonprofit organizations have always been there to help everyone in need - from refugees, who need clothes and language lessons, to universities and schools, which try to become more sustainable.

The 2020 corona pandemic did not only bring the health of hundreds of thousands in danger but also multiplied the number of people in need.

With the pandemic, new challenges have arrived. Nonprofits, while overcoming the workforce shortage, are now looking for new ways of attracting and recruiting fresh volunteers: brave, motivated, and with plenty of time - the youngsters.

EVERYTHING FOR THE NEW GEN

If you are looking online for a volunteering position - you will find a variety of serious-looking job-finding portals, which won’t give you a clear answer to the main question: how can I help today?

We decided to create something different: a new app, which provides a connection between nonprofits and young people.

Thinking about the needs of youngsters, we built an app with one main goal: to make the experience quick and easy, thus saving them from the well-known long process of searching and applying. It takes only 3 steps to get introduced and set up and 2 more to apply for the desired position.

MOTIVATION TO REAL ACTIONS

Around this, we built a moving brand with a loud name NewOrder, which embraces technological generations and invites them to join the new movement of young volunteers.

Instead of a grey-serious voice or cringy jokes, NewOrder occurs as a motivator for action. Because in the end, what really matters is the action of people.

This idea gives birth to a visual brand that feels bold and loud. It takes its cues from the digital world and aims to win the attention of younger generations.

LET’S HELP BY PLAYING

Inspired by games, we introduced stickers, which act as a rewarding item and a recognizable visual element, to make volunteering more fun and motivating than just working for money.

Unraveling the idea of gamification, we reinforced graphic identity with bright and flashy colors, geometric shapes, and thick lines, pairing them with a bold typeface.

Not forgetting about the new media, NewOrder's identity shines on Instagram posts, AR filters, Youtube videos, and real objects.
