Creation process of the movie trailer for the start page of my personal website, as well as looping background animations for the different categories/subpages.
Intro video animation for my personal website tristandgrey.com, representing the four different categories of media I work in, i.e., drawings, paintings, photographs, and GPS-drawings.
This animation runs in the background of the start page, while looped sections of the trailer are shown as short clips as background animations for the respective different subpages.

/ CONCEPT /
Starting with the artist's logo, here with its monogram fragmented and coming slowly together first in a wide shot, followed by a close-up, the concept of the video uses three short clips for each of the four represented media, i.e., drawings, paintings, photographs and GPS-drawings, to illustrate each medium. The footage shows detailed macro shots, representing the materials used in an abstract language, from charcoal and paper for the drawings' section to liquids and paint for the paintings' section, whereas the photography part is illustrated by slow-motion shots of a light bulb representing a flash, raindrops with an animated camera viewfinder/crosshair and liquids as used in the development of film. Lastly, the GPS-drawings pick up the element of rain falling down, this time viewed from a top view or satellite perspective with images of the earth at night overlaid by actual GPS line drawings, followed by an animated GPS tracking of Berlin on crumbled paper, keeping all in line with the general aesthetic of the webpage using dark black and white tones with a tint of blue.
