Project
As technology continues to advance at an exponential rate, it is important for designers to understand the inherent relationship that exists between the web and print industries. Most often, print design is being transformed to exist within mobile and web applications. The goal of this project was to become more familiar with the way both the web and print industries exist together by reversing the typical transformation from print to web and providing readers of the Ben Trovato Blog their favorite online content in print format. By further examining the similarities and differences between the print and web industries, we as designers can continue to make advances in order to enhance the viewer experience in both fields.

Solution
Extensive research was conducted throughout this project in order to better understand the relationship between the web and print industries. The current web design of the Ben Trovato Blog allows interaction through movements, such as clicking and scrolling. This transient experience is very different from the way information is displayed in print design. Spatial juxtaposition was taken into account in order to enhance and explain page elements. The overall tone of the blog was reproduced by using similar fonts, colors, and other graphic elements that both mediums have in common. It was possible to provide readers with a similar experience by understanding the similarities that exist between print and web industries while accounting for the differences.
