High Tech Fashion
What exactly High technology means?
•High technology (high tech) or frontier technology (frontier tech) is technology that is at the cutting edge: the most advanced technology available. It can be defined as either the most complex or the newest technology on the market. The opposite of high tech is low technology, referring to simple, often traditional or mechanical technology; for example, a slide rule is a low-tech calculating device.
High Tech in fashion industry
•High-tech fashion uses advances in science and technology to design and produce fashion products. Methods used in high-tech fashion borrow from technologies developed in the fields of chemistry, computer science, aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, architecture, industrial textiles, and competitive athletic wear. Fashion projects an image of rapid change and forward thinking-a good environment for use of the latest technologies in production methods and materials. As technology becomes more integrated with one's everyday life, its influence on the fashion one wears continues to increase.

Some high tech couture dresses
Emma Watson in Calvin Kein
At 2016’s Met Gala, Emma Watson wore a beautiful ensemble from Calvin Klein Collection. The stunning black and white dress was the epitome of sustainable fashion. Made from Newlife fabric, a unique yarn engineered from used plastic bottles sourced, it was processed and spun into yarns in Italy. Every element of her outfit was considered from an ethical perspective – even down to the zippers which were made from recycled plastic.
Claire danes in zac posen
•Claire Danes looked magnificent in Zac Posen’s Modern take on ManusxMachina: Fashion in an Age of Technology METGala Theme. Channelling Cinderella, Dane’s custom baby blue gown was a gorgeous glow-in-the-dark dress, lined with fibre optics all throughout, highlighting the delicate detailing from the corset to the full skirt and train.
Cate Blanchett in Iris van Herpen
