Problem-solving is an integral part of any designers job. Here, the problem (or the challenge) was that the client, a dentist specialized in periodontology did not want to have a tooth on their logo. I challenged their opinion and found a way to use the tooth in a way by giving the client a different perspective. A top-down view of a tooth.
The cross or simplified star element in the center is the natural indentation in the tooth surface but through the repetition of the element it offers a different interpretation: sparkling clean and healthy tooth - which is exactly what’s at the core of the client’s business.
