Public Domain Book
Jane Eyre
For this project, we were asked to typeset and design a book in the public domain. I choose Jane Eyre.
I wanted my illustrations to resemble sketches that the main character, Jane, would have done to remember her time at Thornfield Hall because the book takes on a 'diary' tone of voice and Jane liked to draw.
fonts used
I used the font Georgia regular fo the body paragraphs, eskapade regular and italic for the chapter heading and running folios, and aphrosine for the book title and table of contents.
