In August I spent some days with my family at the Baltic Sea of Germany. Nature around there is extremely beautiful and complex. In the last couple of years, living rather far away from where I called home for such a long time, I started to appreciate this more and more.
"Stralsund" harbour, a wonderful northern German town with lots of scenic places.
I knew it would be pretty tough to spend enough time with my family and still get some usable footage in a couple of days. For me this meant getting up before sunrise and falling in to bed really late at night. The tourism industry is pretty big in the north-eastern part of Germany, so my initial goal was to gather ‘marketable’ material. Pretty soon I realized this was not going to happen, though.
If you've come this far, you probably asked yourself at some point, what that weird title means. Since most of the viewers would probably not be native German speakers, I though it would be nice to give you a sense of what "homesickness" sounds in German. Basically it's "Heimweh" written in the International Phonetic Alphabet. It looks very mysterious as well, so win/win I guess.
Thanks for your time!
