This exercise was assigned to us by Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud in (Building systems integration) course co-funded by IMPAQT.

We were asked to draw sketches for a structural plan and section of an art gallery (attached the plan) clarifying the following:
• Structural system; given that interior columns are NOT allowed.
• Structural elements
• Expansion Joint (if any).

The plan is a composition of a square (30m*30m) and a circle (R=15m)

The aim of this exercise was to make us have the skill of choosing a structure system for an entire building.
