Check This (one) Out

It started in the Renaissance, on the second half of the XV century and it has it’s roots in the indian and persian cultures. “Check This (one) Out” is a representation of one of the most popular and patient games in the whole world.

It changes the hierarchic differences based on the height of the pieces and gives all the player’s attention to the shapes and spacial occupation as his main guide of orientation.

This project intend to work as an exploration of shapes; it tries to be as simple as possible, as organic as possible so the pieces would look as similar and homogenic as possible, but without losing their identity.

The differences are in the detailed shapes of each piece, just to make it visible for the players to know wich piece they’re playing with. The players face each other with brushed cooper and brushed zinc and may the best check the other one out.
