[EN] Made when the last The Hobbit movie was about to be released, I decided to do this as a big fan of the Middle Earth movie franchise. The title One Last Time was the tag the marketing was using at the time as a way to say goodbye to this version of the Tolkien universe.

[EN] A cover photo for Facebook I've made for personal use back when lead actress Nina Dobrev decided to leave The Vampire Diaries TV series. That meant we had to say goodbye to the character, hence the tag Goodbye Elena, which was created by the marketing team. The show went on for two more seasons until they figured it wasn't the same without her but I didn't care at that point because I dropped it right after she left.

[PT] Uma foto de capa para o Facebook que eu criei na altura em que a atriz Nina Dobrev decidiu sair da série de TV, Diários do Vampiro. Isso significa que tivemos de nos despedir da personagem, daí a tag Adeus Elena, que foi criado pela equipa de marketing. A série continuou por mais duas temporadas até que eles perceberam que não era o mesmo sem ela mas eu já não queria saber porque desisti de ver assim que ela saiu.

[EN] Hollywood actor Chris Pratt once took to Facebook to challenge his fans to make a cover photo for his Facebook page. The only requirement was to be "rad" and to highlight his roles from the movies/shows he's famous for: Jurassic World (2015), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), The Lego Movie (2014) and Parks and Recreation (2009-2015). Unfortunately, I did not win, however it was a fun being a part of the challenge.
[PT] Certa vez, o ator de Hollywood, Chris Pratt, veio ao Facebook desafiar os seus fãs a fazerem uma foto de capa para a sua página no Facebook. O único requisito foi para ser "fixe" e destacar os papéis dos filmes/séries pelos quais ele é famoso: Mundo Jurássico (2015), Guardiões da Galáxia (2014), O Filme Lego (2014) e Parks and Recreation (2009-2015). Infelizmente, não ganhei, contudo foi divertido fazer parte do desafio.

[EN] That first trailer for Suicide Squad (2016) that was released at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 really hyped us up, uh? So dark! And then that final scene with the Joker! Ahhh! The chills! I was so hyped that I did another cover photo for Facebook with his quote from the trailer. But then we got what we got. Now I'm curious about the upcoming James Gunn's sequel/reboot.

[PT] Aquele primeiro trailer do Esquadrão Suicida (2016) lançado na Comic-Con de San Diego de 2015 deixou-nos mesmo entusiasmados, não deixou? Tão sinistro! E depois aquela última cena com o Joker! Ahhh! Que arrepios! Estava tão entusiasmado que fiz outra foto de capa para o Facebook com a citação dele do trailer. Mas depois tivemos o que tivemos. Agora estou curioso pela próxima sequela/reboot do James Gunn.

[EN] "There was this idea to bring together a group of remarkable people"... not really. There used to be this Portuguese Facebook group for pop culture related topics I used to belong to (one of its first members actually) but now it's dead... Anyway, I did four cover photos for the group at the time and this is the third one. You may ask, where's the other two? Eh, not as good as I think it was back then (although the second is kinda good, the edition I've made for two characters are really bad and it shows).
What I tried to do here is bring two characters from movies, two characters from TV shows and two characters from video games by also trying to balance both genders and what was "in" at that time.
From left to right: Geralt (The Witcher), Jon Snow (Game of Thrones), Wonder Woman (DCEU/DC Films), Supergirl (Supergirl), Rey (Star Wars) and a character who I think is from Tom Clancy's The Division.

[PT] "Havia uma ideia de criar um grupo de pessoas extraordinárias"... só que não. Eu fazia parte de um grupo português no Facebook sobre tópicos de cultura pop (aliás, eu fui um dos primeiros membros) mas agora está meio morto... Enfim, eu fiz quatro fotos de capa para o grupo na altura e este é o terceiro. Talvez esteja a perguntar onde estão os outros dois. Eh, não tão bons como julgava na altura (o segundo até está bom mas a edição em duas personagens estão más e dá para perceber).
O que tentei fazer aqui foi pegar em duas personagens de filmes, duas personagens de séries e duas personagens de vídeo-jogos, assim como tentar ter os dois géneros equilibrados e o que estava na moda na altura.

[EN] The last cover photo I did for a Facebook group called Fandom, before it ultimately died. Like last time, I brought two characters from three different media (movies, TV series and video games) but this time I tried an all-girl edition to celebrate girl power. The dialogue are lines from Doctor Who and that's what went kind of sideways because some (male) group members found it extremist and not "equal gender material". I can understand their reasoning but I also feel they were too sensitive. The only edited character I think it didn't work right was Eleven due to bad quality of the picture.

[PT] A última foto de capa que fiz para um grupo no Facebook chamado Fandom, antes de ter morrido. Tal como da última vez, peguei em duas personagens de três medias diferentes (filmes, séries e vídeo-jogos) mas desta vez fiz uma versão só com mulheres para celebrar o enpoderamento feminino. O diálogo é de Doctor Who e isso foi o que deu meio para o torto porque alguns membros (homens) do grupo acharam extremista e nada a ver com igualdade de géneros. Consigo entender porquê mas também acho que eles foram demasiado sensíveis. A única personagem editada que acho que correu mal foi a Eleven devido à má qualidade da imagem.
