Digital Technology Inclusion Center

In the globalized world, technologies occupy an increasing space in our lives. We are increasingly dependent on them to survive and to perform our daily tasks. Technological innovation, however, cannot be accompanied by all. It brings attached the digital exclusion. Among the demands of a competitive market and a constant learning, computing is a basic requirement. However, not everyone has access to these technologies. Facing this problem, arises the idea of a cultural and educational equipment, where digital inclusion, sociability and interactivity seek for a resolution of this issue in the today society.
The need for a good location, with accessibility for the entire city, the surrounding infrastructure and a place that was possible the interaction between people and culture have proved a major concern in choosing the location. The lot is located in a privileged area of the city, framed by Aureliano de Figueiredo Pinto Avenue and João Alfredo Street. On the design of this new equipment, it is necessary that the public and private spaces are approached in the same way as a digital inclusion policy. The project includes the same idea, distributing their environments with an integrative intent. The interaction between low-income community and the city was a very strong guideline.
The building is basically composed of three volumes. The highes volume, marks the building on the landscape and houses the vertical circulation. The second, which tailors the urban tissue, made of concrete in the form of a horizontal bar, and marks the corner with a beautiful banyan tree, is composed of classrooms, administration office and the technology company  settled in the center with the demand to provide support to the project and hire the students from the professional courses offered in it. The third and final volume sectorize the cultural part of the proposal, consisting of an auditorium, library, digital library and an interactive museum of new technologies.
