1.Character sketch in Photoshop
2. Create character in Illustrator with stuff
3. Create first animation in After Effects
4. Backgrounds sketch in Photoshop
5. Backgrounds in Illustrator (using references for palette)
6. Compositing and create design for cats (using references for palette)
7. Create second animation in After Effects
8. Create composition with all backgrounds and make animation
9. Combine all compositions.
Duplicate second animation two times and add Master properties, paint all characters, add music and SFX for all compositions. Done!
