BLT Joint Project
Baltic Triangle, Liverpool Competition
The BLT Joint Project was a competition held with the school in January 2010, after the Christmas holidays. The groups consisted of atleast two Architect students working alongside students of disciplines in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Urban Planning, Real Estate Management, Construction Management, and Property and Facilities Management from the departments of Built Environment and the School of Art and Design.
Our group, christened Evo6 Developments, had 10 days to produce a design proposal that was fully costed and financially viable; prepare a planning application that including listed building consent; that had a funding strategy; included a marketing plan; a procurement strategy; a construction program; and a 5 year maintenance plan.
As part of the design team I oversaw the design process involving three architects, an architectural technician, and a building surveyor. In ten days, we designed the proposal and produced full set of schematic drawings, 3D images and a 3D model.
