International Typographic Style Zine

International Typographic Style Zine

Learning the history of graphic design, this assignment gave us the task to create a short zine of a design movement of our choice. This was my first time attempting international typographic style.
I chose to do International Typographic Style as I am fond of the creative possibilities to produce various, unique designs despite the simplicity of the style.
There is a limitless end of experiments and playing around with the whitespaces, composition and etc, which challenges ourselves to explore more about design.
As a tribute to International Typographic Style, I was able to reflect on myself as a designer, as I was greatly inspired by the innovative thinkings of both the designers I have included in the short zine (Karl Gertsner and Paul Rand), for they are truly geniuses who designed memorable legacies in our minds.

All in all, after thorough research and an attempt of mimicking their style, creating this zine has taught me the core significance of design communication. There are endless possibilities in conveying our thoughts and feelings, of which amongst the chaos, aligning the messy information into something aesthetically pleasing, memorable yet simple to look at. And that's just the tip of graphic design.
