This business card was a small, quick project done in collaboration with fellow designer Daniel Marthaler. Much of the work I did came in the form of small refinements because the die needed to be rollable once actually put together. The process required learning the width of the laser beam and accounting for it when dimensioning everything, as well as figuring just how wide the tabs could be, and still be easily snapped apart. It was quite the entertaining process!
The card! Made of acrylic, its dimensions are the standard 2"x3.5" found in most business cards, but more substantial in weight and feel, at 2mm thick.
The construction process.
The construction process continued.
The die, fully assembled and ready to be rolled!
