My first website, and a learning experience. The website was created for 20th Century Fox (India), who were distributing the movie. It was designed to give the audience a feel of what to expect from the movie. The website featured a chat room and scheduled chats with stars from the film, a discussion forum, a shop for merchandise, in addition to the regular features in a movie based website.
Mini-sites were created to promote blockbuster movies. Here are 3 of the sites created. The main criteria was to present links to all relevant sections (movie info, theaters, contests and general buzz) on the home page itself.
Contests played a big role in the promotion of movies. We kept them simple, based them on the movie and got the response we wanted. Here are a couple from the movie 'X2'.
Before 20th Century Fox, India, had its own website, its online presence was a page on the FoxAsia website. All we had access to was the space between the Header and Footer of the page. We designed a template that could be updated on a weekly basis based on the data sent.
