These are a series of illustrations for a publication assignment titled ‘Hokkien Me’. The book essentially aimed to bring back Hokkien, a dialect that has set the foundation for the language and culture of the Singapore today. Keeping in mind the seriousness of the topic and the light-hearted approach of the book, I stuck to the style of line-drawing, which also complemented the pictures in the book well.
