FALLEN FLOWER | A flower forgot its home

[Inspiration]
In Taoism (a traditional Chinese religion), Xian are the spiritually immortal, the transcendent, or celestial beings. Xian is equivalent to the Buddha (awakened beings, enlightened beings in Buddhism). According to Taoism, we humans were all one and lived harmoniously with the Tao (the oneness, the consciousness). We were all Xian. But then we leave the oneness to learn and experience, we live life as human through many reincarnations. We have to practice morality, love, bravery, forgiveness, patience, and compassion to become Xian again. This teaching in Taoism is related to me because this is the inner path that I’m practicing. So I developed the story with a flower. It was living in the sky. Then it fell from the sky and turn into a human being. After walking through many lands, she forgot what her mission, who she is, where she is going, and where she came from. The walking symbolized the living on earth, with selfishness, desires, hatred, and lies. The flower woman forgot the sky (which is the metaphor for the oneness and the her mission to practice morality that she has forgotten).

[Visual style]
I am inspired by the illustration by Paulynka Hricovini in Rone - Sing Song music video.
