Akai MPX8 - Software Redesign Concept
I've used the Akai MPX8 in a live setting for a while, and it's never let me down. But loading samples into this product can be quite a headache. A lot of times you end up have to edit your samples in Audacity, even if you've exported samples correctly from your DAW. There's always been a bit of a disconnect with the UX and the product. I was messing with this recently and was thinking about how awesome it would be if the UI/UX had an overhaul where you could plug in your MPX via USB and this flashy UI popped up, where you could load your samples by dragging and dropping them onto the pads. While also being able to trigger them, edit them, and more. This is just a UI concept that I was playing around with.
