A project that challenges the traditional form of the annual report, while still communicating the company's core values and responsibilities and maintaining the essential elements of an annual report.
I was assigned Mohawk Industries, a company that in the past ten years has transformed from a North American Carpet manufacturer into the world's largest flooring company. The Clever Carpet tells a story of growth through ingenuity, of a company that, confronted with an obstacle of any size, uses its cunning and wit to overcome it. Mohawk Ind. is a corporate company with a flair for the whimsical. Accordingly, I chose to tell this story in the form of a children's book. Through both its form and content, the book reinforces throughout the central theme of growth.
