1PUTT Esher Venue Branding & Launch

A pop-up golf course for the new generation.

Thames Ditton & Esher Golf Club is just a short trip out from Central London, located next to Esher train station. Despite its convenient location, The Club has been struggling to attract a new demographic for a number of years.

For the 2019 season, 1PUTT - a new golf experience targeted at the next generation of golfers - formed a partnership with the Club to create the first ever 1PUTT ‘pop-up’ course, “1PUTT Esher”, with the aim of bringing in a new audience through specific events and time slots.
Building hype and creating content through a lively Launch Event.

The task was to create a sub-brand of 1PUTT Golf which was venue-specific for the Esher venue.
Seeing as we were working with a traditional rustic, suburban Golf Club that in no way had a premium or necessarily modern feel, we leveraged a “converted, underground” aesthetic through use of a neon logo and retro imagery.

A teaser video and instagram collage was an effective way to build hype for a season kick-off launch event, which was also used to create more substantial photographic video and photographic content, used in advertising to drive bookings for the remainder of the season.
