The alumni relation department at Adelphi University wanted a holiday card to send out to the upcoming graduating class. The main objective for all of their collateral is an ongoing written and visual dialogue about the importance of giving back. Looking for a festive element, I recalled the class of 2013 receiving a fountain from a former graduating class.
With the intention of graphically translating the structure of the fountain into a snowflake, first I photographed it then digitally dissected the sum of its parts. In collaboration with a staff writer, our client loved the concept as did their target market. They continued to use different iterations for the next couple of years which continued to increase contributions.
