The series is a glimpse into the beauty of the country captured on color slide film. After decades of isolation, Myanmar opened its doors to the public at the time when digital cameras brought about the end of film photography. Capturing the authenticity of this place on a permanent physical medium contrasts well with the changing political situation in Myanmar. As the country was slowly making its way to democracy, a military coup in February 2021 reverted a decade of progress and brought isolation, violence and uncertainty for the future of its people.
