ST-HR: Short Travel High Resolution Piston
This piston was created because a simple linkage did not provide good resolution.
This piston contains a rotary insert in the middle that rotates as the shaft is pushed down.
This piston integrates a spring inside for rebound.
Overall, resolution was increased by 700% and the consistent rebound helped with control.

3D-Printed prototype.
Whilst the system works as expected, the layer lines of the 3D-Printed middle insert gave a rough feeling despite generous lubrication. It would have worked better if it was machined out of metal.
