A series of panels were developed, in conjunction with evironment interpretation copywriters, for the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The aim was to simply inform visitors and locals of the activities, walks, cycle rides available in the area, as well as point out hidden nature throughout the countryside and coast.
A visual theme was developed, influenced by the LCCP and Grazing Marshes logos, to tie the panels together across such a large area.
Upnor Castle, near Rochester in Kent, is a former artillery fort on the banks of the River Medway.
Whilst the castle is a popular visitor attraction, little thought had been given to the sparse interpretation around the grounds. The client didn't want a logo as such so a simple visual identity was developed for the interpretation panels, influenced by the crennellations and spiral staircase found at the site.
The panels themselves were also required to display copy in not just English, but French and Dutch as well.
Horsey Windpump is a National Trust property near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.
The project had to follow NT guidelines yet provide the windpump site with a unique feel. It was decided that the character of Arthur Dove, a former mill man at the site, would lead visitors through the history and workings of the windpump.
