This project was taken inspiration from many times I have used buses. I have notices that the bus service in Ho Chi Minh City has improved so much in 2013. However, there are several restrictions in transmitting information to the bus passengers, such as.
. Bus station's names are not united
. Bus map is complex and difficult in finding the bus route.
. The bus information column is too tall for the poor eyesight people and the elderly.
. Passengers cannot get the information actively which makes them feel insecure in using service.
These following reasons let me use my graphic design knowledge that I have learned to improve some aspects of bus system in Ho Chi Minh city (where I am living and working). After surveying and collecting images of the real bus system in the city, I have recognized that if we want to improve our bus system, we must play the role of the users. Therefore, I put myself as a user first, and then I used bus service and thought about the problems that the users might get into. If the design can make the first users feel convenient and comfortable, it can do the same things for the others.
These following designs are not the final ones because it takes a lot of time and resources to improve the bus system. However, these can basically solve some aspects in public passenger delivering service.
