Briefing: Research and development of a garbage bin system with a versatile set of parts.
Had to take into account the cost of the materials and how to make something not overly expensive yet durable. Lids, deposits and their extensions are made out of injected plastic, outer lower bin parts meant to be made out of tin-plated steel. Because that's the cheapest way to do it and still durable. Consideration has gone into aluminium, but durability against impact would be poor.
Also went this route because it's low maintenance, moving parts like hinges and pedals always tend to break sooner and require higher investment and testing to ensure they don't..
Meant to encompass general trash, metal+plastic and paper sorting separatedly.
1. Proposed garbage bin system.
2. "2x2" garbage bin apparel with Type-3 configuration lids, lower part composed out of two "S" and two "M" lower boxes.
3. Same as above but with Type-1 and Type-2 lids.
4. Same as the examples prior but using only Type-1 lids.
5. 4x1 configuration with Type-1 and Type 2 lids as well as S, M, L and XL lower cases.
