In 2020 the Philadelphia Flyers Charities team was looking for a way to brand their annual 5K run event, but wanted to make sure participants felt comfortable in the environment of the time.
We got together and decided a virtual event (with themed branding) would be a great way to host an event in a year of uncertainty. I was to come up with the branding elements for the digital ads, and the medal design.

While there were a few medal ideas in the running (and one that would be modified for a future Gritty 5K event) we settled on the famous (or infamous) Gritty eyes with a sweatband popping out of a computer screen.
