THE WILD SWANS

When the sun began to slide down behind the sea, Elisa saw eleven wild swans, with golden crowns on their heads, flying toward the beach. Like a white ribbon pulled across the sky, they flew one after the other. Elisa hid behind some bushes. The swans landed nearby, still flapping their great white wings.

At that moment when the sun finally sank below the horizon, the swans turned into eleven handsome princes, Elisa’s brothers.
