The reference for this typeface, Raleigh, was original an ATF typeface designed by Morris Fuller Benton; The same man who also designed the typeface "Hobo" 100 years ago. 

It was submitted for the Updike student prize in 2017 and won! If you are ever in Providence and love typography, be sure to check out the Updike Collection in the providence public library, which was where I stumbled upon Raleigh years ago.
