Для создания этих иллюстраций я использовала реальные старые фотографии местности и людей, а также рисунки резьбы по кости - традиционное искусство чукч.
Нужно было немного стилизовать изображения под эту резьбу, поэтому я использовала линейный рисунок со штриховкой.
Фон по концепции заказчика сделан под фактуру кости.

To create these illustrations, I used real old photographs of the area and people, as well as drawings of bone carving -the traditional art of the Chukchi. It was necessary to stylize the images a bit to match this thread, so I used a line drawing with hatching.The background, according to the customer's concept, is made to match the texture of the bone.

И китов! На рисунках подводных жителей я использовала голубой фон, чтобы отделить эти иллюстрации от остальных и больше выделить животных.
And whales! In the drawings of the underwater inhabitants, I used a blue background to separate these illustrations from the rest and make the animals stand out more.
