This website was a joy to build from the minute I opened up Illustrator. Digging into the history of the typeface was incredibly interesting, and it made the choice of design aesthetic obvious— with the historic connections between the ITC Benguiat typeface and the horror genre.

However, I always enjoy an element of challenge in my work, so I decided to ensure that the majority of my illustrations would be built entirely from the typeface itself. From stained-glass windows made of ligatures, bones made with the letter c and backslashes,  to bats made with clever use of the number 7, the entire piece was a blast to work with.
