In Italy there are no adequate legislative solutions that allow an outpost citizen to vote remotely, meaning substantial part of citizens aged between 19 and 25 may not be included in choosing their country’s future. “Students” is the most affected category and therefore its electoral card often remains empty. This generates a considerable electoral void.

A short stop motion video shows a particular electoral card opening and revealing its inside part. Usually composed of 18 cells, this card has 100 cells, representing the total of students enrolled at the Italian university. Each cell equals to around 7.000 students. The 100 cells are originally empty. Progressively stamps fill the cells and attest the resident students who can vote from their home city. However the card remains incomplete. The empty cells represent students who we suppose do not have the chance to vote away from their residency, where they are studying. The electoral card is a great valuable object for a citizen and it is the symbol of the vote right.
