Here is a poster project for one of, or maybe the best drama of all time; Breaking Bad. I'm a huge fan of the series and I thought it was necessary to design a poster for the show as it recently ended. I went with a very similar feel to the title sequence of the show with a subtle grunge addon.
Here are the two stock images of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman that I chose for the poster
As you can see, I've merged the two images together. I had the saying "Opposites Attract" as the base idea of this project, and this merge of the two characters shows that well.
Here I have vectorised the merged image using many tools within Photoshop. On the right image, I have added the Methamphetamine Molecule in relation to the show's story.
Here I have added the Breaking Bad Logo to the vector, and added some exposure and saturation as seen in the right image. Also, I added a quote which I came up with relating to the show.
"You couldn’t have strength without a weakness, light without the dark ,meth without a cook”.
These are the final stages of the project. I added a subtle grunge texture over the top to bring out the dark colours. With help from some fellow designers, I decided to merge the original merge and the vector together using some torn paper brushes.
This is the final design. I desaturated the original image to give the overall image some depth.
