De-extinction Zine

De-extinction is the process of creating an organism that is, or has a close resemblance to, an extinct species. A Intelligence Squared debate called, "Don't Bring Extinct Creatures Back to Life," explores whether or not extinct animals should be revived. While proponents argue it can have numerous benefits, the opposition offers ethical counterpoints.

Using the debate transcript, this project was designed to explore both sides of the debate in an engaging way. By utilizing hand-drawn elements, DNA gel electrophoresis, and scientific imagery, the primary ideas of the debate are highlighted.
