When the juice is worth the squeeze, you gotta make a poster about it.
Barkley wanted to make an internal poster to promote the company's pre-party for our regional ADDY awards. Somehow my first thought was, "it would be kinda funny to do something with oversized fruit." Thus, a set of fruit stickers were born.
I guess the idea came from the fact that the ADDYs are all about showing the fruits of your labor (har har, get it?) from the year that was. So I ran with that, and like any vigilant designer, made a set of three posters instead of one - because you can't just have one kind of fruit in the basket, ya know?
This is the kind of do-whatever-you-want project that was pure fun. I was chuckling the whole time. Fortunately, Barkley was ok with it too, and seeing 24x36" posters of fruit around the office was pretty satisfying.
