Cliché d'identité - 2003

Clichés d'identités
Exhibition in Musée de Bagnes, le Châble, Switzerland, in collaboration with Swiss photographer François Gailland.
In the 90's the tattoo got out of jail into the street, it became so fashionable that even white collars started to ink their body. I always wondered why they always chose tattoo from other cultures than European cultures. So I followed about 30 people in the province of Wallis in Switzerland, during one year, trying to shoot their tattoos while asking them what it meant to them.
